Mr. Matsuoka is the Deputy　Director of Japan International Transport Institute, Institution for Transport Policy Studies. Since 2006, Mr. Matsuoka joined in a lot of the research projects of the transport policies and since 2008, Mr. Matsuoka is in charge of some international global warming research projects as a research manager.
Before JITI/ITPS, since 2003, Mr. Matsuoka belonged to the Institute of Economic Research in Kyoto University as assistant professor of the energy economics and also was a part-time professor of Faculty of International Communication in Ryukoku University. Mr. Matsuoka had been in the motor cycle division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries since 1994.
Mr. Matsuoka graduated from Kyoto University in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. And Mr. Matsuoka also earned a master degree in energy science from Kyoto University in 2003.
