Yoshiyuki Makino is Head of Japan Office of S&P Indices, where he is responsible for developing business relationships with Japanese asset managers, investment banks, institutional investors and retail distributors.

Prior to joining S&P Indices Tokyo, Mr. Makino worked for companies within Lyxor Asset Management Japan as Head of Institutional Sales for 1 year and AXA Rosenberg Tokyo as Head of Institutional Sales for 6 years. He also worked for companies within the Yamaichi Group for 14 years. His assignments there included Manager for the International Planning Department of Yamaichi Securities Tokyo, General Manager for PT Asian Development Securities in Indonesia and Manager of Japanese Equity Sales at Yamaichi International (Hong Kong) Ltd.

Mr. Makino received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Economics from Meiji University in 1984.
