Erectile dysfunction, heart disease and other vascular diseases: Although ED can be caused by various conditions, about 7 in 10 cases are due to narrowing of the small arteries in the penis. This causes reduced blood flow to the penis. This is the same problem that can occur in other blood vessels. For example, narrowing of the blood vessels in the heart (the coronary arteries) is a cause of angina and other heart problems. Narrowing of blood vessels to the brain is a risk factor for having a stroke. Narrowing of blood vessels in the legs can cause peripheral vascular disease. cialis purchase online buy cialis online Erectile Dysfunction At A Glance: New research is ongoing in the field of erectile dysfunction to find more improved and effective therapies. viagra online without prescription .00 buy viagra online levitra canadian pharmacy viagra online at buy viagra Erectile Dysfunction At A Glance: Erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence, is the inability to achieve or sustain an erection for satisfactory sexual activity. For example, one study found that after a course of pelvic floor exercises, about 4 in 10 men with ED had regained normal erectile function, just over 3 in 10 men had improved, but there was no improvement in just under 3 in 10 men. The exercises were done for a time every day for three months. Those found least likely to improve were those with other significant problems such as heart disease, diabetes, or those who drank a lot of alcohol. The conclusion of this study was that pelvic floor muscle exercises should be considered a treatment option for many people with ED. A penile erection is the hydraulic effect of blood entering and being retained in sponge-like bodies within the penis. The process is often initiated as a result of sexual arousal, when signals are transmitted from the brain to nerves in the penis. Erectile dysfunction is indicated when an erection is difficult to produce. There are various circulatory causes, including alteration of the voltage-gated potassium channel, as in arsenic poisoning from drinking water.[2] The most important organic causes are cardiovascular disease and diabetes, neurological problems (for example, trauma from prostatectomy surgery), hormonal insufficiencies (hypogonadism) and drug side effects. Medication (tablets taken by mouth) In 1998, the first tablet to treat ED was launched. This made a huge impact on the treatment of ED. There are now four different tablets licensed in the UK to treat ED: Three of the tablets work by increasing the blood flow to your penis. They do this by affecting cGMP, the chemical involved in dilating (widening) the blood vessels when you are sexually aroused (described above). They are sildenafil (trade name Viagra®), tadalafil (trade name Cialis®), and vardenafil (trade name Levitra®). You take a dose before you plan to have sex. Because of the way they work, these medicines are called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. legal online cialis buy cialis viagra pro online in usa viagra online Sildenafil is available as oral tablets at doses of 25, 50, and 100 mg. It should be taken approximately one hour before sexual activity. In some men, the onset of action of the drug may be as early as 11-20 minutes. Sildenafil should be taken on an empty stomach for best results since absorption and effectiveness of sildenafil can be diminished if it is taken shortly after a meal, particularly a meal that is high in fat.
