Olga Emelianova leads the North American ratings research team at MSCI ESG Research. She specializes in analyzing issues and companies in the Consumer Discretionary sector, overseeing the research of sector team analysts in 11 offices globally. She has 12 years of experience in environmental, social and governance (ESG) research and performance monitoring. Until December 2009, she was a Director of Project Services at the International Center for Corporate Accountability, a not-for-profit group which evaluated corporate and industry-wide social responsibility initiatives and conducted performance assessments for multinational companies, including Mattel Inc. and Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold. Ms. Emelianova holds an MBA degree from Zicklin School of Business, CUNY. She has published her research on corporate and industry-wide ESG initiatives in a number of professional journals. Most recently, she co-authored several chapters in a book “Globalization and Self-Regulation” (2011).
