Alfred Kool founded his own independent communication consultancy in 2005, specialized in reputation management, positioning and pension communication. Since March 2008 he is one of the partners of KOOL BAAS & DE QUELERIJ, communication and marketing, a new consultancy he founded together with fellow communication professionals Jac Baas and Celeste de Quelerij. This concentration of strength offers more than 50 years of experience with pension communication. The consultancy operates on strategic and operational level in a broad area with a focus on the pensions and financial world.
Prior to that Alfred has been engaged in various positions in communication for over 25 years, since 1997 as Director of Corporate Communication at PGGM, the Dutch Healthcare pension fund. As he combines his communication expertise with a thorough knowledge of the pensions and investments world, not surprisingly most of his clients are to be found in that specific area.
Alfred Kool has gained specific knowledge in reputation management, positioning, internal communication, press relations, crisis communication and public affairs/lobby. He strongly supports orchestration of the wide variety of communication modalities (corporate communication).
As a manager/director and as an interim-manager he created strong teams which emerged out of radical reorganizations. He has specific affinity and experience on domains such as ‘sustainable ventures/investments and corporate governance’, especially when it touches the reputation of an organization.
Alfred Kool regularly publishes and gives lectures and presentations concerning communication topics, in the Netherlands but also abroad. He graduated in Corporate Communication at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
