Shawn Murphy is leading the equity and advisory related efforts within the Microfinance Institutions Group, including private equity funds, principal investments in MFIs, M&A, IPO and capital structure advice to players within the industry.  She spent over 8 years in Private Wealth Management, where she held various roles in New York, Boston and London.  In 2000, she helped launch the private wealth division in New England.  In 2004, Shawn relocated to London to take on a role as a risk manager covering credit, market and operational risk across Europe, Middle East and Asia.Shawn graduated magna cum laude from Boston College University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She also holds an MBA from London Business School.Shawn brings firsthand, on the ground experience in microfinance and continues to provide volunteer consulting services to a start-up microfinance company in Tanzania.  Shawn also sits on the steering committee of the UK Microfinance Club.
