Kirein Franck (born 1962, economist by profession) is heading researchactivities at imug (Hanover, Germany). imug research is focusing oncorporate research and market research projects in the field ofsocially responsible investments in Germany. imug is also doingresearch on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for consumerorganisations. Recent projects include an evaluation of CSR researchpublished by Stiftung Warentest, the leading German consumer testingassociation. In 2006 Kirein did European-wide research on CSR anddiscounters for the network of 35 consumer organisations ICRT(International Consumer Research and Testing Association).He is working with partners such as EIRIS (London) producing theEthical Portfolio Manager (EPM), a database which contains informationon more than 250 SRI criteria for 2800 companies wordwide. Kirein isresponsible for researching the German (DAX, MDAX), Swiss and Austriancompanies.Together with a 15 European research groups he has developed avoluntary quality standard on Corporate Sustainability andResponsibility Research (CSRR-QS). He is a board member of theAssociation for Independent Corporate Responsibility Research (AICSRR),Brussels.Kirein is managing these projects and has contributed to a number ofbooks and international conferences. He is married and father of a son.
