Titus Brenninkmeijer is a social entrepreneur whose work has focusedon assisting global entrepreneurs to grow sustainable businessesthrough the development of commercially viable applications. Titusdecades long experience in international retail allows him to leveragedeep knowledge of consumer behavior and trends to help his partnerssuccessfully target current and future consumer needs.In2005, Titus founded Solgenix, LLC, to support solar energyentrepreneurs in emerging and developed markets around the world. He isalso a co-founding member and sits on the Steering Committee of the REDCO Alliance (Rural Energy Delivery Companies),a group of thirteen solar energy entrepreneurs from Latin America,Africa, and Asia.Brenninkmeijer serves as Chairman of the Energy Access Foundation,which he co-founded in 2006. The EAF is a non-profit organizationdevoted to providing support and funding for innovation in clean energydelivery in the rural marketplace in emerging markets. Before enteringthe solar energy industry in 2003, he spent twenty-five years in theretail industry in the UK, Germany, Spain, Brazil and US.He is a board member and partner of Standard Solara startup company focused on installation of solar systems inresidential homes. He is a board member at ACCION Internationala non-profit micro finance institution with thirty overseas affiliates.His other associations include memberships in the InternationalAdvisory Board of ETHOS (a non-profit promoting business and socialresponsibility in Brazil), the Leadership Committee of NFTE SouthernCalifornia (the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship), andTechnoServe anon-profit which supports agricultural entrepreneurs in the developingworld.Titus Brenninkmeijer is a board member of the Los Angeles ChamberOrchestra, a supporting fellow of the Huntington Libraryin San Marino, California, and member of the Pasadena Angels,an investors group that supports local entrepreneurs in SouthernCalifornia.Mr.Brenninkmeijer holds a BA from Boston College, an MBA from the HaasSchool of Business at UC Berkeley, and resides with his family in asolar-powered home in Pasadena, California.
