Bryan L. Martel, Managing Partner of Environmental Capital Group, isthe Environmental Investment Advisor to CalPERS, in association withPacific Corporate Group LLC. In this role, he is fostering strategicworldwide efforts to promote clean-technology as an economically viablemarket opportunity. He is also the founder and former CEO of MobiusTechnologies, a material science/clean-technology company. At MobiusTechnologies, Bryan led and developed a successful plastic recyclingprocess that has grown into a venture capital backed, growth-stagecompany with operations in the US, Europe, and Asia. Prior to startingMobius Technologies, Bryan was an independent consultant forindustrial-scale plastic recycling projects for the worlds largestplastics companies. Bryan has also been a Senior Research Engineer atthe Dow Chemical Company and a Design Engineer at Bechtel.He received his BS and MS in mechanical engineering from the Universityof California at Berkeley and is a registered Professional MechanicalEngineer, State of California.Bryan lives with his wife and two children in the Sierra Nevadafoothills, and enjoys skiing with them throughout the winter at SquawValley where he also teaches as a ski instructor.
