Fran M. Coopersmith provides her Endowment, Foundation, RetirementPlan, and High Net Worth clients with a unique consulting perspectiveof the investment arena. In addition to her Juris Doctor, MBA,and BS in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, Francame to Asset Strategy Consultants with over 25 years of Financial,Administrative, and Consulting experience, in both the for andnot-for-profit sectors. Fran has hands-on experience in two key areas -- Investment Managementand Endowments/Foundations. She was a portfolio manager forBrandywine Asset Management, responsible for research and clientservice in their large cap value product, and a portfolio manager forRorer Asset Management, providing industry research and client servicesto high net worth individuals for their large cap relative valueproduct. At Rorer she was also responsible for AIMR performancecalculations and reconciliation, and proxy voting. In addition, Fran has served as Chief Financial Officer for twonon-profit Foundations, William Penn Foundation, in Philadelphia, andQuantum Foundation in West Palm Beach. As CFO, Fran wasresponsible for investments, accounting and budgets, data processing,human resources, and the pension plan. She worked closely withthe Board of Directors and Finance Committee. Fran is also a recognized authority in Social Investment issues, alsoknown as Mission-based Investment. She helped found the DelawareValley Chapter of the Social Investment Forum while CFO at the WilliamPenn Foundation. At the time, William Penn Foundation was thelargest private foundation to implement Social Investment guidelines,with both positive and negative screens. Her industry experiencehas proven to be an exceptional resource for her consulting clientsacross the entire consulting relationship – asset allocations;investment policy statements; manager structure, manager evaluation andmonitoring; and on-going communication about research, reporting,investment and financial issues.
