Dr. Graham Davies FRSA, is a Trustee of Chinas Children Charity, andDirector of The Global Exchange for Social Investment (GEXSI) and aFellow Commoner of Sidney Sussex Cambridge.Graham is a civil society economist specialised in international socialinvestment and cross border philanthropy. He has 25 years ofinternational management experience, much of it in Asia, mainly China,Africa and Australia in public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Heholds a doctorate in Economics from Cambridge University and was aResearch Fellow in the field of environmental economics at Cambridgebefore embarking upon a career in management consultancy in the late70s and 1980s working with the World Bank, OECD, and UNDP in China,Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.In the 1990s he worked in private banking and trusts with French bankBNP in Hong Kong where he was Head of Research, and Dutch bankersMeesPierson where he was a Director in Asia and in Sydney beforebecoming Managing Director of a Jersey based trust company in theChannel Islands. In 2003 he established Family Philanthropy Servicesand was Head of Global Trustees at CAF, Charities Aid Foundation basedin the UK. Currently he serves as a trustee of Chinas ChildrenCharity, a UK based charity set up by Chinas first official charitablefoundation established in 1981, The China Children & TeenagersFund. He was elected as a Fellow Commoner of Sidney SussexCollege Cambridge in 2000 for services to philanthropy.
