Luiz joined Rio Bravo Investmentos in January 2006 to develop privateequity businesses and whealth management activities. From August 97 to December 2005 Luiz was responsible for all assetmanagement activities of ABN AMRO Asset Management in Latin America. Hewas member of the Executive Committee of the BU Asset Managememnt inAmsterdam, member of ABN AMRO's top executve group for 5 years, andacted as Executive Director of Banco ABN AMRO Real S.A and BancoSudameris in Brazil.Since 2002 Luiz is Vice-president of the Brazilian Association ofInvestment Banks (ANBID) in charge of the professional certificationprograms. He is also President of the Brazilan Institute of FinancialPlanning (IBCPF).Luiz is board member of Bovespa's Sustainability Index (ISE), of theCenter for Sustainable Studies of FGV - São Paulo and of ABNAMO's social responsible fund (Fundo Ethical). He is also associated ofthe Brazilian Institute of Corperate Governance (IBGC).During January 1989 to July1997 Luiz worked at Banco Sul AméricaS.A. as Executive Director responsible for international fundingand portfolio management of off-shore investments. Before that, fromApril 1982 to December 1988, he joined Banco Mercantil de SãoPaulo S.A. working first at the New York Agency as Deputy Managerresponsible for correspondent banking and at the Luxembourg Subsidiaryas General Manager responsible for commercial banking activities incontinental Europe.Luiz holds a MBA from Thunderbird, the Garvin Graduate School ofInternational Management ( Arizona - U.S.A.) and a Bachelor degree incivil engineering from Mackenzie University (São Paulo, Brazil).
