Carl Middleton is Mekong Program Coordinator with the NGO International Rivers. His work focuses on the equitable and sustainable development of water and energy resources in the Mekong Region, in particular on large water infrastructure projects with transboundary impacts. Prior to joining International Rivers, Mr. Middleton spent three years working in Cambodia with local NGOs on a variety of environmental and natural resource management issues. He graduated from the University of Manchester, UK with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Ph.D. in Contaminant Hydrogeology. He joined International Rivers in 2006.
