Ian Crosby, a UK national, joined the Environmental and Social Development Department of IFC in December 2002. Ian has been instrumental in designing and managing IFC’s portfolio of sustainable energy finance programs starting with the Commercializing Energy Efficiency Finance program in 2002 then developing IFCs Sustainable Energy Finance Program in Russia and subsequently the CHUEE program, IFC’s most successful energy efficiency finance program to date.From October 2006 until February of this year Ian was based in Moscow, Russia where he was responsible for supervising IFC’s portfolio of energy efficiency projects and building up IFC’s Sustainability advisory service in countries of the former Soviet Union; two months ago he relocated to Ho Chi Minh City where he is now advising IFC’s investment and advisory services teams across Asia on how to turn IFC’s ambitions in the climate change arena into reality.
