Maria Fatima Reyes is an accountant and holds an MBA degree. She is an expert in the following fields: Environmental Management Accounting, Environmental Investments and Finance, Triple Bottom Line Reporting, and Corporate Sustainability Information Systems. Fatima has worked for international organizations such as USAID, UNEP, UNDP, UNIDO, and APO where she served as an expert in projects involving the development and delivery of sustainability tools for businesses and governments. Fatima is a widely recognised expert in environmental accounting and management systems. Her strengths lie in management accounting covering the strategic areas of energy, waste, water and health & safety; CSR initiatives including quality assuring of reporting disclosures; Climate change initiatives covering structuring corporate policy and strategies and, facilitating formulation and implementation of corporate climate change-related initiatives such as CDM projects.  She has a strong track record in advising several major Asia region and international corporations and public organisations. She is noted for the disciplined and structured approach to managing environmental impacts that easily translates into the language of corporate finance.  Some of her corporate clients include Coca Cola, adidas, Panasonic, Land Bank, the Ayala Group of Companies, and several of the businesses under the First Philippine Holdings Corporation, the most diversified holding company in the Philippines.Fatima served as a member of the GRI G3 Advisory Panel on Environmental Indicators. Currently she is a member of the International Federation of Accountants’ Sustainability Experts Panel where she is engaged in activities promoting the accounting community’s active role in the global sustainability agenda. She is also a founding member of the Environmental Management Accounting Network for Asia Pacific (EMAN-AP) and the Chair of the Sustainability Accounting and Reporting Committee of the Philippine Institute of CPAs (PICPA).  Fatima started her career working for SGV & Company, an Ernst & Young member firm in the Philippines and is a recipient of an “Outstanding CPA” award in the Philippines   She is a yoga practitioner and speaks fluent English and Filipino and currently studies Japanese and Spanish languages.
