Om is a Director of Indo Green-Fuel Consultants based in Delhi that is responsible mainly for the investment activities of India Green-Fuel Fund in India. Om serves as the Technical Advisor to the Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd.(with largest unit crashing capacity in India) that overlooks the capacity addition activities for the Company. He is also a Director of Dhampur Sugar Distillery Pvt. Ltd and Kashipur Sugar Mills Ltd.Om has accumulated over 40 years of experience in the sugar, paper and petroleum industry in India and     abroad. In most of his long career, he was put in charge of the implementation of several green field projects based on sugar cane and allied industries, included sugar plant, ethanol plants, bagasse based cogeneration plants and paper plants. Om served as Technical Consultant to five sugar mills in Jamaica on behalf of Dhampur Sugar Mills advising them for their sugar operations and their diversification plans for cogeneration and ethanol production from molasses.  Om holds a Bachelor of Technology (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (India)
