Mr. Smith joined Dragon Capital in 2008 to launch the Clean Development Fund deploying capital to renewable energy and low carbon business in 8 key fast-developing countries in Asia. As Chief Investment Officer of the Fund he is responsible for the efficiency of the proposal process and the management of risk.For the previous 5 years at Triodos Bank NV, Mr. Smith was Head of Business Banking, making the bank and its renewable energy fund the leading financier of small renewable energy projects in the UK. Created a portfolio of 0m, invested in and leant to sustainable businesses. With wide experience, originating, executing transactions and managing risk in the fields of wind, hydro, waste and agriculture.With Lloyds TSB Bank and Abbey/Santander in the UK, Mr. Smith gained 15 years of commercial banking experience in particular with receivable financing.Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law from Trinity College Dublin, IrelandBorn and educated in Ireland, he is now a resident of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
