Title
Moving from CSR to SCR.
Description
CSR today has a bad name due to the fact that most organizations have not moved beyond "Doing good to look good." To offer a way out, organizations must move up to Strategic Corporate Responsibility from simple CSR or Philantrophy, embedding Corporate Responsibility in their business strategy. Mr Fernando urges organizations to work with all the US/EU brands they supply to raise the bar of compliance. Asia is poised to be the "World's Factory", but can transform itself to be the "World's Responsible Factories" by being united in its pricing with high compliance. With strategic CSR, a global business environment of "Doing Well & Doing Good" is not an impossible mission.
