Florian Sommer is working at Union Investment since 2010 as Senior Strategist and is responsible for the sustainable investment research in different asset classes.
He has more than 10 years professional experience as an investor, management consultant and policy advisor. In the asset management industry he led for 5 years the sustainability research for Fortis Investments and BNP Paribas Investment Partners. Before he advised multinational companies on sustainability while working at Forum for the Future. Prior to that he worked at the New Economics Foundation, a London based think tank, where he managed several research projects aimed at making people and the environment count in economic decision-making for both corporate and public clients. Florian studied Environmental Economics (MSc) at the London School of Economics.
Florian is currently the chair of the PRI Working Group on Sovereign Fixed Income.
