Andrew Coogan is a consulting partner with TBLI Consulting Group, in Amsterdam.  His core practice areas are media, campaigns and communication; stakeholder engagement; sustainable investment and development; and corporate responsibility.  Andrew combines a range of communications, strategy development, project management, research and consulting skills with broad experience from the private, public and civil society sectors. Media and communication strategies and campaign work at the heart of sustainable development include the Global Reporting Initiative’s inaugural conference; Brooklyn Bridge TBLI Conferences in Europe and Asia; campaign and lobbying projects with UK NGOs Stamp Out Poverty (and the Make Poverty History campaign) and London Citizens; and reputation management research with Jonathan Wootliff Consulting.  Drawing upon his broad experience with large financial institutions and NGOs, Andrew offers expertise in corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy, with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement and business-NGO partnerships.  Recent SRI projects have focussed on the financing of environmental technology development (for the European Commission–DG Research) and scoping research and partnership requirements in the hydropower and renewable energy sectors. Andrew has previously worked as a senior consultant with business strategy and E-commerce firm ETC, advising financial institutions and start-ups; for the Australian government, managing policy research on tax reform and financing technology development; as a project manager at Westpac Institutional Bank; and as an officer in the Australian navy. Currently he is enrolled in the PhD / DBA program at the University for Humanistics, Utrecht, with a research focus on alterative enterprise structures to support social and environmental sustainability.  He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University, Sydney, and also studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
