Aged 52, Humbert Garreau de Labarre holds a master’s degree in management from Paris-Dauphine University (1983).
Officer in the French Cavalry Reserves, he first started his banking career in 1983 at Neuflize OBC (ABN Amro Group) managing portfolios for high networth individuals.
He joined La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild in 1988. As Senior Vice-President of the Private Banking department he develops “estate” consultancy (global strategies to achieve the right balance between business, tax and family concerns) as a complement to regular portfolio management while simultaneously broadening the department’s client basis. He personally looks after HNWI‘s managed account with asset under management of 1 Billion €.
He was member of the Board of EDRAM, Equity Asset Management subsidiary of La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild from 1998 to 2006.
Since September 2006, he is in LCF Rothschild Group in Shanghai to develop financial activities in China especially in Private Banking and Asset Management areas with Bank of China and Zhonghai Group.
Beside his activities he launched the investment fund “Saint-Honoré Microfinance” with Blue Orchard (Swiss asset manager specialized in microfinance). This Luxemburg Part II fund is dedicated to private and institutional investors.
