Daan Dijk Associate director in the Sustainability and Social Innovation Department Rabobank Mr. Dijk joined Rabobank in 1998 where he is currently associate director in the Sustainability and Social Innovation Department. In this capacity he is responsible for product innovation and business development in sustainable energy and environmental markets. Mr Dijk has a.o. initiated Rabobank Carbon Procurement Department, Rabobank's Environmental Financial Products department,and New Values environmental exchanges, a trading platform for environmental commodities. Mr Dijk is board member of New Values and Director of Rabobank Sustainability Fund. He is on the risk management committee of the World Bank Prototype Carbon Fund and a member of several business associations in the field of sustainable energy and environmental commodities. Prior to joining Rabobank, Mr. Dijk worked in the Energy sector, where he held senior positions in respectively: TenneT, the Dutch Transmission System Operator, The Dutch Electricity Generating Board, The centre for Energy & Environmental Studies of the State University of Groningen (lecturer and researcher), and the Centre for Energy Conservation (consultant). Mr Dijk was trained in Chemical Physics at the universities of Groningen and Tel Aviv (MSc).
