Julie McDowell SRI Research manager Standard Life Investments Julie McDowell is SRI Research Manager at Standard Life Investments. A US lawyer, she started her career on Wall Street as a litigation attorney with Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts She has served in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the US Department of State, specialising in international trade, and at IBJ Schroder Bank & Trust in New York, practicing corporate and banking law. She joined Standard Life Investments in September 2002 from Aberdeen Asset Management and is responsible for developing and implementing the approach of Standard Life Investments to socially responsible investment. Julie is a member of the Standard Life Group Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Secretary of the Standard Life Ethical Committee.
