Joan Bavaria has served as Founding President and CEO of Trillium Asset Management since its incorporation in 1982. Ms. Bavaria served as founding Co-Chair of CERES from 1989 to 2001, and continues on the Board of CERES. She served as Founding President of the Social Investment Forum for four years and served on the Board for eight additional years.

Ms. Bavaria is currently a Board member of LightHawk, Earthjustice, and the Center for Environment Leadership in Business. She is on the Advisory Boards of the Greening of Industry Network, the Environmental Management and Policy Program at the University of Michigan, and the Dean\'s Committee for International Development at Harvard University\'s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

In 2002, Joan received an award from Scientific American as one of the most influential 50 people. In October of 2000 she was honored by Global Green USA and Green Cross International President Mikhail Gorbachev with the Millennium Award for Corporate Environmental Leadership. In 1999 Ms. Bavaria was lauded as Hero for the Planet by Time.com. For 20 years, Ms. Bavaria has been widely published and has done extensive public speaking and media work.
