Dr. Bergeron's is an environmental expert whose experience spans thirtyyears as director and manager of environmental policy, management andtechnology capacity building projects and programmes covering a widerange of "brown", "blue" and "green" environmental issues. Withprofessional experience in 45 countries including 18 industrialisingcountries in Asia, his expertise is environmental policing, programmingand financing, triple bottom line management and investing for businessand environmental project management.Dr, Bergeron joined SustainAsia as Associate Director in charge of theEUrepresentative office. From 2002 until 2004, he worked as regionaldirectorAHT Group AG, Essen, Germany, with directorship for EU Accession andNIS countries and East and South East Asia. From 1993 until 2002 he wasmanaging director Regional Institute of Environmental technology(RIET), Singapore, a public non-profit organization acting asenvironmental business facilitator, think tank, strategic consultancy,training organisation, publisher and developer of conferences acrossAsia, which Dr. Bergeron designed and launched with the initial supportof the Singapore Government and the European Commission.Dr. Bergeron holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from E.N.S.C.S inFrance and a Doctorate from the faculty of Civil Engineering,University ofKarlsruhe, Germany. He is advisory board member (Asia EuropeEnvironmental Forum), senior advisor, Regional Institute ofEnvironmental Technology (RIET), Singapore, and life member, AsianSociety for Environmental Protection (ASEP), Bangkok.
