Mr. Skulnik co-founded Clean Currents after several years of working in the nonprofit environmental field as an advocate for clean energy solutions to global warming. As President of the company, he is responsible for all the customer and market facing departments, including direct sales, marketing, and customer engagement. Mr. Skulnik has developed the go-to-market strategy for Clean Currents, the brand position, and public messaging. He also represents the company in the media and as a speaker at events. In recent years, he has been invited to speak on clean energy and marketing at a conference in China, at the national Renewable Energy Markets meeting, at the national Net Impact conference, and many others. Mr. Skulnik received the Bright Light Award for being the leading clean energy industry person in Maryland from the Maryland Clean Energy Center in 2011. Prior to Clean Currents, he was the lead author and advocate for Maryland’s landmark Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) and other energy bills. He has a B.A. from Vassar College and an M.A. from the University of Miami, Florida.
