Dr. Arun Padiyar is the chief mentor of Mogalthur Aqua Farmer’s Welfare Society and assists aquaculture farmers with marketing their products through various organized retail chains in India. During his professional career he has worked with MPEDA-NACA project in India and Thailand, and FAO and the International Finance Corporation in Indonesia. Also, Dr. Padiyar has undertaken short-term consultancy works in China, Myanmar, Vietnam, Palestine, Solomon Islands and Fiji. 
Dr. Padiyar has graduate and post-graduate degrees in Fisheries and Aquaculture Science from College of Fisheries, Mangalore, India and has a PhD in Aquaculture from Deakin University, Australia.
