Emily McAteer is a Climate Risk Management analyst at RiskMetrics Group. She is the co-author the January 2008 report, “Corporate Governance and Climate Change: The Banking Sector,” the December 2008 report, “Corporate Governance and Climate Change: Consumer and Technology Companies,” the March 2009 electric utilities sector report for the Carbon Disclosure Project, and the September 2009 Ceres/DEG report “Addressing Climate Risk: Financial Institutions in Emerging Markets.”
RiskMetrics’ Climate Risk Management group works with investors to manage climate risk, take advantage of emerging opportunities, and optimize portfolio performance. With the recent acquisitions of Innovest and KLD, RiskMetrics’ climate services have expanded to cover a broad range of climate change issues, including carbon footprint, clean technology and other strategic profit opportunities, and carbon management strategies across more than forty carbon-intensive sectors. Emily joined RiskMetrics in August 2007.
