Paul has been involved with environmental, CSR and sustainability reporting since the early 1990’s, following five years working in literature documentation for the German Federal Office of the Environment in Berlin. He has developed dozens of reports including many of the first environmental and CSR reports in the UK, developed reporting guidelines, and been a member of several reporting judging panels. For over 10 years he was a member of the ACCA UK Reporting Awards panel, and was the UK representative on the European Sustainability Reporting Awards for six years.

In 1998 Paul launched the CorporateRegister.com website, which has developed into a comprehensive global CSR reporting resource with profiles of over 47,000 reports across 9,900 companies and 176 countries. Over 40,000 global CSR stakeholders are currently registered to use this website, and during 2012 over 1.5 million reports were downloaded from the site.

CorporateRegister.com hosts the CR Reporting Awards, launched in 2007, which are the first and only annual global CSR reporting awards, and in 2013 launched the first global reporting survey ‘CR Perspectives’.
